Open any PDF with
one click from Chrome
Install the PDF Pro extension and every PDF you open in Chrome launches straight into the privacy-first workspace. Annotate, sign, convert, compress, run AI on PDFs — without uploads.
Every PDF you open starts in the right place
No more downloading, opening Adobe, uploading to an editor, re-downloading. One click in your browser and you're in a real PDF workspace — annotate, sign, convert, AI-chat, done.
One-click workflow
Click any PDF link in any site — Gmail, Slack, Drive, news articles. The extension routes it straight into the PDF Pro workspace. No "Save As" detour.
No upload, ever
The editing engine runs in your browser tab via WebAssembly. Sensitive PDFs stay on your device — annotate, sign, OCR without sending the file to any server.
Works in every Chromium browser
One install covers Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Vivaldi. The same workspace, the same hotkeys, the same recent-files list across all of them.
Audited permissions
Only the permissions needed to detect PDF tabs. No history, no bookmarks, no clipboard, no broad file-system access. The Chrome Web Store enforces every permission in the manifest.

Questions about the Chrome extension
Is the PDF Pro Chrome extension free?
Yes. The extension is free on the Chrome Web Store. Core editing — annotate, sign, convert, merge, split, compress, OCR — runs entirely in your browser at no cost. AI features (chat, summarize, translate) call our online API and follow the same free / Pro plan as the web app.
Does it work in Edge, Brave, or Opera?
Yes. The extension is built on Chromium standards and installs on every Chromium-based browser: Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Vivaldi, and others. Install once from the Chrome Web Store and it works across all of them.
Are my PDFs uploaded when I use the extension?
No, not for editing tools. Annotate, sign, convert, merge, split, compress and OCR run entirely inside your browser tab via WebAssembly. Only AI workflows (chat, summarize, translate) send extracted text passages to our LLM provider — the PDF binary, embedded images, fonts, and metadata stay on your device.
What permissions does the extension request?
Only what's needed to detect and open PDF files in tabs: access to URLs ending in .pdf and the ability to write a downloaded PDF into PDF Pro's workspace tab. No history, no bookmarks, no clipboard, no broad file-system access. The full manifest is auditable on the Chrome Web Store listing.
How do I install it?
Click "Add to Chrome" on the Chrome Web Store listing, confirm the permissions dialog, and pin the PDF Pro icon to your toolbar. From then on, every PDF you open in Chrome launches into the PDF Pro workspace.
Can I use the extension without signing up?
Yes. All editing tools work without an account. Sign-up is only required if you want to use AI features (with the included free quota) or sync your recent-files list across browsers.
