Will the tool add its own watermark or branding?
Never. The only watermark on the output is the one you set. There's no "Made with PDF Pro" footer, no second logo, no appended branding page. Many free watermark tools add their own branding to upsell their paid tier — we never built that funnel.

Does the file ever get uploaded to your servers?
No. The PDF bytes never leave your browser. Open DevTools, Network tab while you work — you'll see zero requests carrying the document. This is why we can offer it with no limits: there's no per-file server cost on our side.
Can I remove a watermark with this tool?
No — this tool adds watermarks, it doesn't remove them. A watermark that is part of a page's content stream can sometimes be edited out in a PDF editor, but a watermark baked into a scanned or flattened page is part of the image and cannot be cleanly removed.
Will the watermark cover up my text?
Only as much as you want it to. A low opacity of 10–25% keeps the underlying text fully readable while still marking the page; a higher opacity makes the stamp dominant. The live preview lets you tune it before exporting.
What characters and languages does a text watermark support?
A Unicode font is embedded with the watermark, so Latin (including Polish, Turkish, German, French diacritics), Cyrillic, and Greek characters all render correctly. Right-to-left scripts display but are not bidi-shaped.
Is there a file-size limit?
Your browser's memory is the ceiling — roughly 500 MB on a modern laptop. Typical documents under 25 MB watermark in 1–3 seconds. There's no artificial server-side cap because there's no server in the loop.
Is it really free with no hidden tier?
